ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,540,076, issued on Feb. 3.

"Systems, apparatus and methods to accelerate generation of chlorine dioxide gas" was invented by Darrel George Wolf (Zeeland, N.D.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are systems, apparatus, and methods for accelerating the generation of chlorine dioxide gas by rotating a member such as a puck, tablet, or pouch of reactant such as sodium chlorite in an acidic solution that will cause and help accelerate a reaction to generate chlorine dioxide gas."

The patent was filed on July 2, 2021, under Application No. 17/367,307.
