"Reconfigurable bag" was invented by Rania Salibi (Tempe, Ariz.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Embodiments of the present invention relate to a reconfigurable bag which can form a variety of bags, handbags and purses. With all of the demands of busy lives, women today need to have a variety of bags and purses. Women need a clutch for evening use, a large purse for taking to work, a smaller purse for daytime outings, and a briefcase or computer bag. A reconfigurable bag as disclosed herein would help to eliminate these issues by providing a bag that can be converted to a variety of bags and purses."
