"Method and system for calculating vehicle trailer angle" was invented by Robin Plowman (Southwick, Great Britain) and Alexander Kadyrov (Eastbourne, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to a method for determining the yaw angle of a trailer with respect to the longitudinal axis of a towing vehicle based on at least one feature included in multiple captured images by using correction information."
The patent was filed on Dec. 1, 2020, under Application No. 17/907,691.
