"Motorized personal conveyance driver" was invented by Eddy Cardentey (Mars, Pa.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A wheeled platform has a base, a plurality of wheels, and a power supply. A connector extends from the wheeled platform. A motor assembly has at least one motor mounted on the connector to couple with a conveyance. A controller assembly steers the conveyance. The base includes an upper surface for supporting an operator. The base forms a wheel assembly for holding the wheels. The power supply sends power to the motor assembly through the control assembly to drive the conveyance."
