According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The field of the invention is surface albedo modification which applies to modifying the surface of areas of the earth to increase albedo. The invention relates to a means of preserving and restoring glaciers that are shrinking or receding due to climate change.
