ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,544,174, issued on Feb. 10.
"Leveling drape for endovascular procedures" was invented by Zaid Aljuboori (Wilkes Barre, Pa.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A sterile surgical drape includes left and right inflatable supports leveling the upper surface of the drape to better corral instruments during angiographic procedures. An optional center inflatable support helps center the drape and provides a continuation of this work surface. Multiple sealable openings can be provided at common groin and wrist locations."
The patent was filed on June 12, 2024, under Application No. 18/741,081.
