"Portable staked accessory holder" was invented by Halsey Cruickshank (Brooklyn, N.Y.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A portable staked accessory holder is an apparatus that is mounted into the ground to uphold various small items. The apparatus includes a post and a stake. The stake drives into the ground. The apparatus further includes a beverage holder with an attached mobile device holder. This holder combination is mounted to the post by a spring clamp. The spring clamp allows the position of the holder combination to be adjusted."
