ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,507,674, issued on Dec. 30.
"Beehive with viewing area" was invented by George A. Datto III (Glen Mills, Pa.) and Nathaniel W. Wolfe II (Townsend, Del.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A beehive includes a lower compartment consisting of a first part and a remainder located on one side of the first part and a queen excluder extending over only the first part of the lower compartment. An upper compartment extends over the queen excluder and a removable lid extends over only the remainder of the lower compartment."
The patent was filed on Jan. 11, 2022, under Application No. 17/572,697.
