According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Wetsuits and booties are known to be difficult to remove. Here, a wetsuit removal tool has a hook attached to a flexible strap. The hook is hooked over an edge of a wetsuit to the side of the neck. The strap is stepped on while the user is crouched down. As the user stands up, tension develops in the strap and partly pulls the wetsuit off. The hook can be hooked over a top edge of a bootie and the strap looped around the user's other foot.
