ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,496,574, issued on Dec. 16.

"Rare-earth phosphate alumina composite for use in emission control catalysts and method for making the same" was invented by Thomas Harmening (Munster, Germany), Marcos Schoneborn (Hamburg, Germany) and Johanna Fabian (Brunsbuttel, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a composition for use in a catalyst system in emission control systems comprising a transition alumina based material and rare earth phosphates and to a method for making same."
