"Motorbike swingarm cover" was invented by Bryce Barsnick (Livermore, Calif.) and Devin Funaro (Livermore, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A motorbike swingarm cover incudes a protective cover that covers at least a portion of the outer face of the motorbike swingarm. Said cover is secured to the motorbike swingarm through a cable lashing in the frontward portion of the cover, and a bracketed attachment in the rearward portion of the cover. Said bracketed attachment will secure onto both the cover and onto the motorbike swingarm by way of an included mounting feature on the swingarm."
