According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A paddleboard with a multi-hull underbody includes pontoons defining a parallel-walled channel from nose to tail and an upper deck monolithically joined to the pontoons. The upper deck has longitudinal edges contiguous with an outer curvature of the pontoons. The paddleboard exhibits improved ease of use, speed, stability, energy efficiency, and tracking for both recreational and racing use."
