ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,697,914, issued on Aug. 4.

"Trailer and truck with expandable cargo compartment for multipurpose shelter" was invented by Darryl Clive Metz (Miami) and Cherise Mandy Metz (Miami).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Trailers and trucks, for hauling cargo, which also have expandable tent compartment assemblies for use as modern, rapidly deployable sleeping quarters, offices, administrative facilities, medical facilities, command centers, kitchens, canteens, etc."

The patent was filed on Aug. 5, 2024, under Application No. 18/794,057.
