ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,607,019, issued on April 21.

"Universal wheelchair ramp landing" was invented by Lawrence Eugene Warford (Bonney Lake, Wash.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A universal wheelchair ramp landing that will allow the wheelchair ramp to extend at multiple angles depending on the need. The universal landing may be circular and allow an interface section to be attached at many locations to attain the desired angle. The wheelchair ramp would then extend from the interface portion."

The patent was filed on May 19, 2023, under Application No. 18/199,913.
