ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,607,012, issued on April 21.
"Modular wheelchair ramp canopy" was invented by Lawrence Eugene Warford (Bonney Lake, Wash.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A modular portable wheelchair ramp canopy configured to fit over and protect a wheelchair ramp from rain. The canopy has a gutter that channels rainwater into the canopy uprights and then down to the ground. The canopy also has an end section that slopes back to a gutter which collects rainwater and channels it into canopy uprights and then down to the ground."
The patent was filed on June 14, 2023, under Application No. 18/209,485.
