According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A modular guitar pick is provided. The modular guitar pick comprises a pick body including a tip portion configured to engage a string of a musical instrument, a gripping portion for manual control, and a body region between the tip portion and the gripping portion. The gripping portion includes an ergonomic grip layer formed of a material differing from that of the pick body."
