According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A methane sensor includes a substrate, a conductive connection electrode, and a sensing electrode, the conductive connection electrode is arranged on the substrate, and the sensing electrode is covered on the conductive connection electrode, the sensing electrode is a layer of conductive polymer film, and the conductive connection electrode is coated with an insulating layer in addition to the sensing area.
