JACKSON, Miss., Oct. 9 -- The Mississippi Department of Transportation issued the following news release:
Increasing wind speeds from Hurricane Isaias along the Mississippi Gulf Coast have prompted the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) to close drawbridges on I-110, State Route 605 and State Route 609 to marine traffic. The bridges are now locked down and will not be raised again until after the storm passes.
