UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY ANNOUNCES DAVID ZERVOS AS COUNSELOR TO THE SECRETARY

WASHINGTON, Sept. 28 -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury issued the following news release:

Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent announced today a key senior appointment at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Dr. David Zervos will serve as a Counselor in the Office of the Secretary.

Zervos brings 35 years of experience across global financial markets, central banking, and macroeconomic analysis. He joins Treasury from Jefferies LLC, where he spent nearly half of his career serving as Chief Market Strategist and Head of the Global Macro Division for Leucadia Asset Management. In those roles, he regularly advised leading money managers, banks, hedge funds, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds around the world.
