LAFAYETTE, La., Oct. 8 -- The University of Louisiana at Lafayette issued the following news release:
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is expanding its academic offerings in aerospace and space technology, bringing together strengths in engineering and computing to prepare students for emerging career opportunities and support Louisiana's growing aerospace sector.
The expansion includes a new aerospace engineering concentration within the bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering and an aerospace and autonomous systems minor in the College of Engineering, both planned for Fall 2027.
