UAH ENROLLMENT GROWS FOR FIRST TIME IN SIX YEARS, DRIVEN BY GAINS IN NEW STUDENTS

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Aug. 25 -- The University of Alabama in Huntsville issued the following news release:

New students smile during Charger Camp orientation sessions during the summer of 2026.

There is new momentum at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) as more students choose to become Chargers. While official fall enrollment numbers will be announced later this fall, early indicators are encouraging, with strong gains among new undergraduate and graduate students.

New first-year undergraduate enrollment is currently up 5%, while new graduate enrollment is up 6.5%. Total university enrollment is projected to increase 2% to approximately 8,529 students, which would mark UAH's first overall enrollment increase in six years. Overal...
