U.S. SENATOR KATIE BRITT JOINS COLLEAGUES IN RESOLUTIONS BACKING LAW ENFORCEMENT DURING NATIONAL POLICE WEEK

U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) joined several of her Senate colleagues in sponsoring bipartisan resolutions recognizing the service and sacrifice of America's law enforcement officers during National Police Week. She is a proud cosponsor of Senator Bill Cassidy's (R-La.) resolution expressing support for police officers across the country, honoring those killed or injured in the line of duty, and calling for increased resources for law enforcement. She's also a cosponsor of Senator Chuck Grassley's (R-Iowa) resolution, S.Res.735, designating May 10 through May 16, 2026, as "National Police Week."

Yesterday, S.Res.735 passed the Senate by unanimous consent.
