U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.), as a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, recently directly secured $2 million for Cleburne and Choctaw Counties through the Senate passage of the FY26 Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development (THUD) Appropriations Act.
The bill, part of a larger package, will be sent back to the U.S. House of Representatives for a final vote before heading to President Trump's desk to be signed into law.
