WASHINGTON, Feb. 10 -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a proposed rule called: Electronic Export Manifest for Vessel Cargo.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Feb. 10 by Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security.
Summary: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) proposes to amend its regulations to require the advance submission of electronic export manifest (EEM) information to CBP for cargo transported by vessel departing the United States.
