TRAFFIC ADVISORY: TEMPORARY LANE CLOSURE PLANNED ON I-20 MISSISSIPPI RIVER BRIDGE OCT. 6

JACKSON, Miss., Oct. 6 -- The Mississippi Department of Transportation issued the following news release:

Temporary lane closure.

WHO: The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).

WHAT: Temporary lane closure.

WHEN: From 9 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

WHERE: The outside lane of I-20 eastbound over the Mississippi River in Vicksburg.

WHY: Crews will make repairs to bridge cameras.

HOW: Drivers are advised to slow down, anticipate moderate congestion and be on high alert for roadside crews and equipment.
