JACKSON, Miss., Oct. 9 -- The Mississippi Department of Transportation issued the following news release:
WHO: The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).
WHAT: Temporary bridge CLOSURE.
WHEN: From 7 p.m. on Friday, October 9, until 4 a.m. on Monday, October 12.
WHERE: Both directions of U.S. 98 over I-59 in Hattiesburg.
WHY: Structural maintenance.
HOW: Westbound U.S. 98 traffic will be reduced to one lane and diverted onto I-59 northbound up to U.S. 49 (Exit 67B). From there, drivers will re-enter I-59 southbound and exit back onto U.S. 98 to continue heading west.
Eastbound U.S. 98 traffic will be reduced to one lane and diverted onto I-59 southbound down to U.S. 11 (Exit 60). From there, drivers will re-enter I-59 north...
