LAFAYETTE, La., Aug. 26 -- The University of Louisiana at Lafayette issued the following news release:
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette will name its baseball complex Tony Robichaux Park in honor of the winningest baseball coach in Louisiana collegiate history. UL Lafayette also secured approval from the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors to name its baseball stadium club for the Russo family, longtime supporters of Ragin' Cajuns Athletics.
The board approved both proposals during a meeting on Thursday.
Chris J. Russo has pledged $1.225 million for the philanthropic naming of the Russo Stadium Club in honor of his family. He has committed an additional $500,000 to seed the Friends of Tony Robichaux Fund, which wi...
