BLACKSBURG, Va., May 26 -- Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University issued the following news release:
Three graduates of the Department of Mechanical Engineering have been selected to receive graduate research fellowships from the National Science Foundation in recognition of their potential to make significant contributions to science and engineering.
Brock Duma '26, Lillian Fantuzzo'26, and Cassandra Freedlander'26 earned the prestigious fellowships from the National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Programafter distinguishingthemselves for their undergraduate research work in campus labs - enabled in part by undergraduate research scholarships fromthe Department of Mechanical Engineering.
