NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 8 -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the following news release:
At the request of 31st Judicial District Attorney General Matthew Colvard, TBI special agents are investigating the circumstances that led to a deadly officer-involved shooting Thursday evening in McMinnville.
Preliminary information indicates that just after 7:00 PM, officers with the McMinnville Police Department responded to the 200 block of Dogwood Pointe Dr. for a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived on scene, they encountered an individual who was reportedly armed and barricaded himself inside the residence.
