NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 12 -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the following news release:
At the request of 16th Judicial District Attorney General Jennings Jones, TBI agents are investigating the circumstances leading to an officer-involved shooting that occurred Friday evening in Murfreesboro.
At approximately 6:50 p.m., officers with the Murfreesboro Police Department attempted to serve an arrest warrant in the 2200 block of Old Fort Parkway for violation of bond conditions. Preliminary information indicates that, upon arrival, officers encountered the subject who was armed with a hatchet.
