NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 14 -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the following news release:
At the request of 19th Judicial District Attorney General Robert Nash, TBI special agents continue to investigate the circumstances of a fatal officer-involved shooting Monday morning involving the Clarksville Police Department.
Preliminary information indicates the incident occurred shortly before 11:00 at a home in the 100 block of Fairview Lane. Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance and encountered a man identified as 33-year-old David McRae, who was holding a firearm in the driveway. When officers arrived, McRae fired at them, resulting in three officers returning fire, striking McRae, who later died. No law enforc...
