WASHINGTON, July 28 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation issued the following press release:
CIBOLA, ARIZ. - The Hart Mine Road Bridge, located near the Cibola Wildlife Refuge on the Arizona-California border, collapsed today following structural damage believed to have been caused by a recent fire. Portions of the bridge are in the water. No injuries have been reported.
Multiple agencies-including the Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Wildland Fire Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service-are actively coordinating response and safety efforts at the site.
