Congressman Dale Strong issued the following statement after House Republicans again advanced legislation to end the Democrats' Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shutdown and pay all DHS personnel:
"All twelve Fiscal Year 2026 spending bills were negotiated with bipartisan support, yet Senate Democrats decided 43 days ago, at the eleventh hour, to hold DHS functions and personnel hostage in an attempt to advance their partisan agenda.
