NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 5 -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the following news release:
HANCOCK COUNTY - An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the indictment and arrest of a Sneedville man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl.
In March, at the request of 3rd Judicial District Attorney General Dan Armstrong, TBI agents began investigating allegations involving Timothy Ryan Gibson (DOB: 08/28/97). During the investigation, agents gathered evidence indicating that Gibson inappropriately touched a child at a residence in Sneedville in November 2025.
