Sioux Falls - United States Attorney Ron Parsons announced today thatU.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier has sentenced a Sioux Falls, SD, man convicted of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person. The sentencing took place on October 5, 2026.
Jorge Ramos, 37, was sentenced totwo years and nine months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
Ramos was indicted for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person by a federal grand jury in April 2026. He pleaded guilty on June 22, 2026.
