Washington (September 16, 2026) - Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), member of the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, and Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Chairman of the Commerce Committee, today celebrated the House of Representatives' passage of the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, bipartisan and bicameral legislation that would require automakers to include AM broadcast radio in their new vehicles at no additional charge. House passage comes after Senators Markey and Cruz secured 60 cosponsors in the Senate earlier this year.
