U.S. Senator Susan Collins, Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that $427,400,000 million in Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding has been released, with $4,375,915 being allocated for the State of Maine.
This release of funding follows a letter to OMB (https://www.collins.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/letter_to_omb_re_liheap_41526.pdf) last week led by Senators Collins, Jack Reed (D-RI), and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) along with a bipartisan group of 35 other Senators urging the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to immediately release the approximately $400 million in remaining LIHEAP funds that Congress d...
