Washington, D.C.- U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is working across the aisle to strengthen lung cancer prevention for Georgia families.
Sen. Ossoff is cosponsoring the bipartisanWomen and Lung Cancer Research and Preventive Services Actto support lung cancer prevention research in Georgia and across the country.
The bill, first introduced by Sens. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and Tina Smith (D-MN), would require the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to assess the status of and identify opportunities to accelerate research related to lung cancer in women.
