WASHINGTON, March 9 -- Sen. Jon Ossoff issued the following press release:

U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is working across the aisle to expand access to affordable housing for Georgia veterans.

Sen. Ossoff cosponsored the bipartisan Housing Unhoused Disabled Veterans Act (HUDVA), first introduced by Sens. Alex Padilla (D-CA) and Dave McCormick (R-PA), to ensure that veterans can more fairly access affordable housing options.

Historically, disability benefits had been considered part of annual income when determining housing assistance eligibility, unfairly disadvantaging Georgia veterans with a service-connected disability.
