WASHINGTON, April 6 -- Sen. Jon Ossoff issued the following press release:
U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering resources to upgrade stormwater infrastructure in Hampton.
Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats in Congress together to help the City of Hampton implement critical stormwater infrastructure improvements and reduce flooding along Woolsey Road.
According to local officials, the area has experienced flooding that has led to erosion, impassable roads, sinkholes in residential area, and flood related pest issues in and around homes.
Sen. Ossoff is delivering $954,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on January 23.
