BISMARCK, N.D. - The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded more than $4.1 million for infrastructure improvements, flood mitigation, and storm repairs across North Dakota. The funding includes $1,984,518 to Minnkota Power Cooperative for repairs related to severe storms, tornadoes, and straight-line winds that struck North Dakota on June 20-21 and Aug. 7-8, 2025. This funding provides $1,854,703 for permanent repairs to the electrical grid in Morton County and $129,815 for the repair or replacement of utility poles and related components.
