Congressman Bobby Scott (VA-03) sent a letter (https://bobbyscott.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/bobbyscott.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/letter-to-va-sec-collins.pdf) to U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins demanding answers and transparency on the continued low staffing levels at the VA North Battlefield Outpatient Clinic in Chesapeake, Virginia that opened in April 2025. Secretary Collins has repeatedly stated that the facility would be fully staffed by January 2026.
