Today, U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand announced $63,692,917.00 in new federal funding to upgrade airport facilities and equipment at Upstate New York airports. This federal funding was awarded through the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and Airport Infrastructure Grant Program (AIG). These grants will fund infrastructure projects including ones that enhance airfield safety, modernize and upgrade terminals, taxiways, and airport signage.
