SCCC RECEIVES $21,000 TO SUPPORT STUDENT FOOD INSECURITY

NEWTON, N.J., Nov. 3 -- Sussex County Community College issued the following news release:

Sussex County Community College (SCCC) has been awarded $21,000 from the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE) to address food insecurity among college students and ensure access to nutritious food does not become a barrier to academic success.

The funding will allow SCCC to expand its food resources and strengthen existing campus initiatives that support students facing financial challenges. By helping meet students' basic needs, the College aims to ease pressures that can make it difficult to stay focused on coursework and complete their education.
