U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) sent a letter (https://www.rosen.senate.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Letter-re-Global-Entry_TSA-PreCheck-2.26.26.pdf) urging Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem to immediately reopen the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Global Entry program, and ensure that Transportation Security Administration (TSA) PreCheck will remain open. The letter also requests that DHS explain the decision-making process that led them to suspend the programs as part of shutdown-related operational adjustments, given that neither Global Entry nor TSA PreCheck predominantly rely on federally appropriated funding to operate.
