U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen's bill to improve weather forecasting to help Nevada farmers and ranchers recently passed the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation as part of the bipartisan Weather Act. Senator Rosen's Smarter Weather Forecasting for Water Management, Farming, and Ranching Act creates new subseasonal and seasonal forecasting pilot projects under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to improve advanced forecasts ranging between two weeks to two years, establishing more consistent short-term and long-term weather forecasting.
