Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) announced that she will be introducing a package of three bills to redirect the funding from Trump's slush fund to lower costs and support law enforcement. The Trump Administration recently announced that it was creating a $1.8 billion slush fund to pay Trump allies and supporters who felt 'victimized' by the government, including January 6 rioters who assaulted and injured police officers. Senator Rosen's bill package would repurpose the $1.8 billion to fund SNAP, Medicaid, and critical public safety programs, such as the COPS Hiring Program and the Public Safety Officers Benefits Program.
