Last night, the majority of Senate Republicans again blocked an effort to stop President Donald Trump's illegal war in Iran. The resolution, sponsored by U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Chris Murphy (D-CT), Cory Booker (D-NJ), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Adam Schiff (D-CA), and Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), would have forced the United States to withdraw U.S. troops from hostilities in and against Iran. On the Senate floor, Baldwin emphasized the cost to taxpayers of the President's unconstitutional war and how those tens of billions of dollars could instead be invested in addressing the American people's kitchen table needs.
