REPS. HEATON, YOCUM: LOCAL STUDENTS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR HOUSE INTERNSHIP

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Sept. 14 -- The Indiana House of Representatives' Republican Caucus issued the following news release:

STATEHOUSE (Sept. 14, 2026) - State Reps. Bob Heaton (R-Terre Haute) and Tim Yocum (R-Clinton) are encouraging local students to apply for the Indiana House Republican Internship Program for the 2027 legislative session.

Heaton said this paid, full-time internship is open to college students, recent graduates and students in law or graduate school from January through April.

"The skills students develop at the Statehouse can serve them well no matter what their career path may be," Heaton said. "The fast-paced, professional environment empowers them with skills that transfer to whatever opportunity they take next." ...
