U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) voted against H.R. 8595, the Fiscal Year 2027 National Security, Department of State, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, citing concerns that the legislation cuts funding for global health and refugee assistance, weakens severe weather preparedness, and includes the SAVE America Act, which would make it harder for eligible Americans to register to vote.
